Effect of dietary supplementation of inulin with low and high concentrate diet on growth performance and nutrient digestibility in Barbari goats

This study aimed to determine the effect of dietary supplementation inulin on growth performance, feed conversion and nutrient digestibility in Barbari goats fed high low concentrate diet for a period 90 days. Twenty four yearling female were randomly divided into equal groups (n=6) according average body weight (18.24±1.16 kg). Treated animals Group 1 (LCD; roughage ratio 40:60) 2 (LCIN) with 2% (% DM basis). Similarly, 3 was (HCD; 60:40) 4 (HCIN) inulinsupplementation. Results showed that daily gain (ADG) efficiency (FCE) higher supplemented than non-supplemented group. There no increase mean live (BW) dry matter intake (DMI) either LCD or HCD treatment groups.The condition score (BCS) also similar all groups. However, faecal (FS) superior group observed after 30 days feeding trial. significant improvement coefficient crude protein DCP intake. It concluded growing resulted digestibility.
